Version namespaces
GetBirthChart uses separate version namespaces. The web integration is pinned to v1.12.1; the installable gbc-astro distribution is 1.12.2; the calculation engine is 1.12.1; and the natal chart schema is 1.3.0. These values can change independently and are not treated as interchangeable release numbers.
The current source records package release metadata in PyPI (opens in a new tab), the source archive in Zenodo (opens in a new tab) and the calculation contract in the engine repository (opens in a new tab).
gbc-astro 1.12.2 — 22 August 2026
The gbc-astro distribution was prepared as version 1.12.2. This is a package/release update; the package metadata continues to identify calculation engine 1.12.1 and natal schema 1.3.0.
The release made the open-source calculation package available with its public source, license and archived DOI metadata. The package does not include the Swiss Ephemeris `.se1` files; those must be provisioned under their upstream terms.

gbc-astro-engine 1.12.1 — 9 August 2026
Fixed a sidereal composite-chart frame inconsistency affecting composite bodies, angles, houses, composite transits to angles and progressed composite output. The annotated tag states that tropical charts were unchanged.

Completed the relationship timing layer: relationship transits with synastry activation, composite transits, progressed synastry in labelled directions and progressed composite. The annotated tag records that the overall 0–100 relationship score remained deferred.
