Corrections Policy
GetBirthChart treats a calculation error, a wrong documented rule and a factual source mistake differently from a typo or formatting edit.
Editorial standards overseen by Luis PhamMethodology
What counts as a material correction
A material correction changes a factual or technical claim that could affect how a chart is calculated, understood or reproduced.
- Incorrect calculation behavior or a regression in returned chart facts.
- A wrong documented aspect orb, house-system rule or unknown-time rule.
- Incorrect software, schema, dependency or release metadata.
- A factual source-attribution error or a misleading technical explanation.
Minor edits
Typos, punctuation, formatting and wording changes that do not alter meaning do not require a separate changelog entry. The page can still be updated when a small edit improves clarity or accessibility.
Correction process
The repository workflow is evidence-led. A material issue is reported or discovered, reproduced where possible, checked against source code and public metadata, and corrected in the implementation or documentation. A regression test is added when the behavior can be tested. The relevant public documentation is then updated, and a material change is recorded in the Changelog.
If the source is ambiguous, the page should state the limitation instead of presenting an assumption as a rule. Unknown birth time is one example: the engine omits time-dependent fields rather than silently substituting a time.
Public correction record
No material public corrections are currently recorded.
This statement will be replaced by dated entries when a material public correction is confirmed and documented. Cosmetic edits are intentionally not listed as releases.
Reporting an error
Email [email protected] with the URL, the claim or output in question, and reproduction details if available. For a chart result, a redacted description of the input and the displayed calculation metadata is usually more useful than sending private birth details.
