How the sign layer works

Element and modality provide two complementary ways to read a sign. Element describes the kind of energy involved; modality describes the timing and movement of that energy. Neither one replaces the chart function being expressed.

Element: what kind of energy

Modality: how the process moves

Aspect = relationship

How one function connects with another through measured angular geometry and calculated orb.
